The 2026 IEEE International Conference on Mechatronics and Automation (IEEE ICMA 2026) was held in Changchun, Jilin, China, from August 2 to August 5, 2026. IEEE ICMA 2026 marked the 23rd edition of the IEEE ICMA annual conference series. A total of 552 papers were submitted from 28 countries and regions, including 528 contributed papers and 24 papers for organized sessions. Following a rigorous full-paper review process, 356 papers were accepted for oral or poster presentations, resulting in an acceptance rate of less than 65%.

   The technical program was organized in seven parallel tracks and comprised 52 sessions, including one poster session, across the three conference days. Five distinguished speakers were invited to deliver keynote speeches and plenary talks. The conference provided an international forum for researchers, educators, engineers, and government officials to share advances in mechatronics, robotics, sensors, and automation, and to exchange views on future research directions.
